• What are some foods that help cleanse your liver and blood?

The liver is self-cleansing. All we need to do is avoid ingesting toxins like drugs and
alcohol, excessive sugar or salt and food preservatives.

A whole food diet with lots of fruit and vegetables, lentils, peas and beans, nuts and
seeds is ideal to nourish the liver.

A healthy liver performs about 300 functions in the body. Detoxifying the blood takes
priority. That is why we MUST stop ingesting toxins to let the liver get to the rest of its
functions. They include managing both blood sugar and blood lipids (fats).

The high fiber, whole food diet I described above will help the liver rebalance blood sugar
if you don˙t (yet) have insulin dependent diabetes.

Work with your doctor as you change your diet. If you're taking medication to help
manage your blood sugar, your doctor may be able to reduce your dose if your liver
    starts functioning better.

Eating low mercury oily fish like herring, sardines and anchovies provide omega-3 fatty
acids that help the liver bring the blood fats into balance.

Work with your doctor as you change your diet. If you˙re taking medication to help
manage your cholesterol, your doctor may be able to reduce your dose if your liver
    starts functioning better.

    Bottom line:

    STOP POISONING YOURSELF.

NOURISH YOUR LIVER with whole foods.

Work with your doctor as you change your diet if you have medical conditions.

Your healthy liver will take care of the rest.
