• board restart?

Did you restart the board Saturday? It was up for 13 straight days, and something killed the uptime. I am trying to see how long I can keep it running without a crash or restarting the system.

...It takes a long time to understand nothing.

Maybe the stupid Windows automatic update struck again. Check your event logs to see when it rebooted and you might find what did it. There use to be a thing called "Connective State" (I think) that would reboot systems in the middle of the night and you had to put in a reg entry to stop it. Also, a group policy could be doing it also. Try to look for that reg entry I told ya about that pauses updates like 9999 days since there's no way to actually turn them off.

Why would I restart it? You know its Windows Updates, but I feel like trying to keep a good uptime on Windows is a bad idea. In the security scene I'd rather patch than be compromised.

I patch Windows manually so I control when it reboots. Usually do it on an off-time when no one really uses the system. Abruptly shutting down active services, like SBBS, at some random time might have bad consiquences.

Then I would assume he can change the update cadence to be at like 3am or so in the morning or as you said do it manually.

Apparently Syncronet control window says over 14 days, but in terminal, under information it said 8 hours. Like it's some kind of glitch or bug. Man guys, I have been super depressed lately.
