There is so much to learn about computers, it is almost overwhelming. I am not a linux guru, programmer, synchronet guru, ect... There is so much to learn with computers it's almost impossible to learn it all. Now Windows, is a different storey. I can do anything on it that the operating system is built to do, but with Linux...I am lost lol
It amazes me on just how many commands the command line has. It's not like Dos... Dos was complicated back when I was a kid, but ended up be able to do anything that was possible on Dos. I knew all the commands, and could write batch files. I don't think it is possible to learn all the linux commands. There is like 300sih, and then all the -options for each command. I'll be doing something in the terminal and get stuck, google it, to find the answer. When I see the command I'm like woah, are you serious, there is a command for this? lol. I am starting to learn, almost anything can be done from the terminal that the gui can do. It's crazy, to think I can watch youtube videos from the terminal, even watch them in ascii, lol.

tab completion is your friend when using command line. DOS and command prompt are being phased out in Windows for the Windows Terminal and Powershell. When using Powershell you can also mix in Linux commands as well.

If you want something that'll make your head spin in Windows command line play with powershell a bit and see how many tasks you can get done with it.

Yeah I use the powershell on the virutal machine that runs the bbs. It's basically a clone of the linux command line. I like it a lot too!

I like how Powershell has consistent flags across commands. Linux doesn't and it makes using it harder and it feels fragmented.
Also, PowerShell allows you to interact directly with the properties and methods of an object without parsing strings. That's a super nice feature too!
