    Joshua Hahn began his session in the memory-management track of the 2026 Linux Storage,
    Filesystem, Memory Management, and BPF Summit by saying that the memory controller for control groups is intended to provide resource allocation, accounting, and protection from interference by other tasks. But
    it was not really designed for tiered-memory systems; he is looking for a
    way to improve that situation.
