    xfce4-terminal

    Because it's the stock term app on most any XFCE desktop. :-)

    Sometimes, for certain things. tmux, although I used screen for years
    before switching a few years ago.

    I have never heard of those. :D I use Qterminal because it just seems to work. I used to use lxterminal for many years, but it got to where it
    would lock up the terminal sometimes when the output from whatever was
    running starting printing too fast (or too much, never exactly figured it
    out).

    I have used screen some. I used to like it but quit using it for quite a while. The last time I tried it, it seemed more confusing than I
    remembered so I didn't use it long.

    xfce-terminal, but if I'm from another location, usually tmux or byobu.
